Abstract
Permanent pacemakers are useful in the management of certain patients with arrhythmias in the absence of heart block. Five patients are presented, four of whom obtained a satisfactory response to pacing. Continuous electrocardiographic monitoring by means of a magnetic tape system is useful in diagnosis as well as in the evaluation of the effects of therapy. Keywords
