Abstract
Summary: Dermatoglyphic features and simian crease incidence were studied in 73 neonates with a birth‐weight under 2 000 g. There was a higher frequency of simian crease, typical and transitional types, as compared with two control groups of 100 normal neonates and 929 school‐children. There was no significant difference in the incidence of dermatoglyphic features between the low birth weight and the control neonates. Keywords
