Abstract
The purpose of this article is to educate primary care providers regarding the theory and basic principles of acupuncture. Various indications for acupuncture are discussed. It is hoped that this article will allow the primary care practitioner to correctly identify patients in his or her practice who might benefit from acupuncture treatment.Keywords
