Abstract
A case of metastatic retroperitoneal seminoma with complete lymphatic obstruction is presented in which excessive lymphographic contrast material resulted in filling of the inferior vena cava and embolization of the lungs. It is believed that this example serves to add further proof of the existence in man of functional lymphaticovenous anastomoses wi th lymphatic obstruction, as has been documented experimentally in animals. The judicious quantitative use of contrast material in the face of lymphatic obstruction is once again stressed. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
