Focal myositis and its differential diagnosis. A case report and review of the literature.

Abstract
A 55 year-old woman underwent a wide surgical excision because a left thigh mass. The histopathological study showed a focal myositis of the vastus lateralis muscle. The patient remains asymptomatic after four years follow-up.
