Abstract
1. By feeding dogs a black tongue diet and at the same time administering amidopyrine, acute stomatitis and anemia may be produced. 2. Both stomatitis and anemia occur some time before they could be expected to appear as result of the diet feeding alone. 3. The anemia is associated with suppression of maturation of the hematopoietic bone marrow elements. Keywords
