Abstract
We demonstrate that the nonlinear temperature dependence of the thermopower in certain amorphous metals and metallic alloys can be explained within the Ziman model. The single generalization required is that the structure factor vary with temperature. We apply our results to hypothetical amorphous zinc and to amorphous Mg-Zn alloys; agreement is very good. Keywords
