Abstract
An all optical wavelength conversion of over 72 nm is achieved by four-wave mixing in a polarization-maintaining highly nonlinear dispersion-shifted fiber. Simultaneous wavelength conversion and optical phase conjugation of 320 Gb/s (32/spl times/10 Gb/s) WDM signal between the 1.55-/spl mu/m band and 1.58-/spl mu/m band is successfully demonstrated with a polarization-insensitive configuration. Keywords
