Abstract
Studies were made of bud and root-tip cells of Alisma plantago, Sagittaria latijolia, and S. rigida from southern Wisconsin. Chromosomes of the 3 spp. are similar in size and appearance, and may be classed as long, medium, and short. Primary constrictions are of 2 types, median and subterminal. Satellite chromosomes of A. plantago and S. latijolia show the same general characteristics. Chromosome numbers detr. are: A. plantago 2n = 14; S. latijolia n=11, 2n = 22; and S. rigida 2n = 22.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
