Abstract

CT [computed tomography] scanning of the neck and upper mediastinum is a valuable tool in the differential diagnosis of soft-tissue tumors [human]. Visualization of the major vessels in the neck, which aids in the study, can be accomplished by a rapid i.v. drip infusion technique during the actual scanning, a new approach to contrast enhancement.
