Abstract
Mossbauer scattering measurements have been carried out on solid cyclohexane between 87 K and the crystal to plastic crystal phase transition at 186 K. Below the transition the mean square vibrational displacement of the carbon atoms has been derived. Limiting values for a relaxation time tau related to the molecular motion have also been derived. Just below the transition tau >7*10-7s and just above tau -8s.Keywords
