Abstract
Synopsis: Measurements made on the floor of the temporarily drained North Esk Reservoir indicate that c . 6 × 10 4 m 3 (wet volume) of sediment has been deposited there since 1850. This corresponds to an estimated minimum average rate of erosion in the catchment area of 10 −2 m/10 3 years. Keywords
