Abstract
The blood sugar lowering effect of a 95% ethanol extract of Red Sanders, Pterocarpus santalinus wood, was studied in fasted, fed, glucose-loaded and streptozotocin-diabetic models in albino rats. The material was found to be effective in lowering the glucose level.Keywords
