LMSS propagation model based on a European experiment using MARECS satellite

Abstract

A new MARECS propagation model which takes into account simultaneous variations in shadowed and unshadowed signals is described. It is based on experimental results which show that signal variations due to antenna pattern irregularities and vehicle movements are combined with shadowing. This model has been fitted to empirical distributions with good results.
