Abstract
In this note we summarize some results for a one dimensional inverse problem in geophysics obtained by generalizing some quantum scatteering techniques. The details will appear in [6]. We consider the propagation of SH waves in a medium with density p and shear modules m and from experimental information at a point we can recover the product [d] and we impose an excitation [d] at x=0 after which one can read off the response[d] a change of variable [d]Keywords
