Abstract
Two patients who had had pulmonary metastatic lesions treated by surgical excision 6 and 11 years ago have been reported as cured. The majority of patients with pulmonary metastases die despite the implementation of roentgen therapy and chemotherapeutic agents. A more aggressive approach would include pulmonary metastasectomy. The application of this technique to selected patients in whom the primary tumor has been controlled, and the metastases are limited to the lungs, should be considered before hope for a cure is abandoned. Keywords
