Abstract
An "imperforate" anus should be considered "ectopic" in all infants with this condition. Reliance on the inverted films of the abdomen is no longer justified. Instead, opaque injection of the ectopic anus by the flushing technic is recommended as the proper method of a roentgen examination which should also include intravenous pyelography and chest roentgenography. A classification of the roentgen anatomy as found in 16 patients is presented.
