Abstract
An attempt is made to evaluate available information regarding the integrity of unmyelinated fibers, particularly somatic unmyelinated fibers in man and in other primates, with relation to early recognition of nerve disorders. Discussion is limited to morphologic aspects of these fibers.Keywords
