Abstract
Complete aromatic substitution of cyclometallated aromatic rings in a series of iridium triaryl phosphite complexes is found to occur rapidly with Cl2 in benzene: the structure of [IrCl2{P(OC6Cl3Me-o)(OC6H4Me-o)2}(pyridine)(PMe3)] has been elucidated by X-ray crystallography. Keywords
