Abstract
The occurrence of Eustrongylides sp. is reported for 5 spp. of fish-eating birds (Ardea herodias, Casmerodius albris, Nycticorax nycticorax, Botaurus Centiginosus and Mergus serrator) collected in the western-basin region of Lake Erie [Ohio, USA]. Mature specimens of E. tubifex were recovered from 5 of 74 laboratory-reared mallards (Anas platyrhynchos) infected experimentally with larval worms taken from yellow perch, Perca flavescens. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
