Abstract
IT is now 15 years since the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts, in a decision not published, first sanctioned a transplant of a kidney from a well child to his dying identical twin brother.1 , 2 The children were minors. In 1969 the State of Kentucky joined Massachusetts in allowing parental consent to sanction a transplant between brothers where the donor was a 28-year-old mental incompetent.3 Now the State of Connecticut has followed the rulings of these states and allowed a transplant between identical twins aged seven years.*4 In a superbly drafted opinion, the procedure has been ordered by Judge Robert J. . . .Keywords
