Abstract
Statement of a hypothesis concerning the cause of stuttering related to the idea that stuttering may be the result of a basic delay in the myelinization of the cortical areas in the brain concerned with speech and based on the known fact that in [male][male], myelinization is delayed and that stuttering is a condition which appears much more frequently in [male][male] than in [female][female].Keywords
