Abstract
A Man, aged 24 years, reported at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham, in July 1948, complaining that during the past year he had experienced increasing difficulty in opening his mouth. He had had no pain and had felt no clicking in the temporo-mandibular joint. On examination it was found that he could separate his teeth to the extent of one inch. Beyond this the mandible appeared to deviate to the left, suggesting changes in the temporo-mandibular joint. Keywords
