Abstract
[[abstract]]The technology of cold prechargers has the potential of greatly improving the collection efficiency of highly resistive particles by electrostatic precipitators. The cold pipe precharger, consists of a wire for high voltage and a pipe for the ground electrode through which cooled water is circulated. The concept is to reduce the resistivity of the dust layer collected on the surface of cold pipe to eliminate the back corona effectively and also to achieve very high levels of charge on dust particles in a very short distance along the direction of gas flow. In this work, a modelling of quadrupole cold precharger particle charging characteristics has been investigated, and experimental confirmations have been conducted. The results show that the predicted dust particle charging characteristics agree well with simulated experiments within a factor of two for cold precharger operation after on-set of corona discharges.[[fileno]]2030213030099[[department]]資訊工程學This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
