Abstract
The authors describe the methods by which they investigated the lipid content of the fresh and dried spleen of cattle. They found that the content of the spleen agrees closely with that reported for the liver by Frankel and Bielschowsky. The content of the lignoceryl-sphingosins varies, however, with the season, which is related to the change in food. They could find no cerebroside in the spleen.
