Abstract
Hypnotic age-progression and posthypnotic suggestion were used to facilitate a predetermined therapeutic change in a 24-year-old female, whose problems included depression, anxiety, social isolation and a very poor self-concept. Hypnosis enabled this patient to project herself into a successful future and to “remember” the events that had led her to that imagined successful outcome. A posthypnotic suggestion to carry out those “remembered” events led to rapid alterations in behavior, personality, and emotional adjustment. Keywords
