Abstract
Spherical composites of Fe20 3 and carbon were heated with microwave power (2.45 GHz) and their heating rate was studied. For control purposes, the heating rate of a spherical, non-reacting agglomerate of A1203was also studied. The results have shown that the mathematical model, proposed in this paper, well describes the principal features of heating these solids by microwave energy. Keywords
