Abstract
A method for measuring rotational viscosities of nematic liquid crystals is described. Rotational viscosities from 10−3 to 106Pas can be determined if this method is combined with the usual rotating field method using the same device. Furthermore, non-newtonian behaviour can be detected by the new method. Keywords
