Abstract
The inferior oblique muscle is detached from the bulbus and fixed to the equator. This decreases the verticle and horizontal action of the muscle and favours the torsional action. The aim of this anteroposition-operation is to reduce the elevation in adduction and the V-variation in V-esotropia. The esotropia itself is corrected by a recession of both medial recti. On 135 children 240 anteropositions were performed. The results were analysed. Keywords
