Abstract
A method of visualization of the hepatic veins by direct injn. of a radiopaque substance through a special catheter into a liver vein has been devised. A new catheterization technique, using a metal leader which allows a guided catheterization of right and left veins, has been elaborated. The visualization of the venous vascular tree of the liver in its finer remifications gives a net delimitation of this organ from adjacent radiological shadows and reveals some pathological changes in the parenchyma of an atrophic liver. It is reasonable to suppose that specific changes produced in the vascular pattern of the liver, as, by tumors, abcesses cysts, cirrhosis, might be disclosed. Keywords
