Immunologic and Antineoplastic Effects of Endotoxin: Role of Membranes and Mediation by Cyclic Adenosine-3',5'-Monophosphate

Abstract
The role of endotoxin as it affects immunologic and antineoplastic activities mediated by cyclic adenosine-3′,5′-monophosphate (cAMP) is reviewed. Although evidence suggests that some effects of endotoxin may involve changing levels of cAMP, the mechanism by which endotoxin acts on the adenyl cyclase system is unknown.
