Abstract
Alkanethiols with electron-withdrawing S-alkyl groups and silanethiols act as polarity-reversal catalysts to promote the radical-chain racemisation of (R)-tetrahydrofurfuryl acetate at 60 °C, while simple alkanethiols are ineffective.Keywords
