Abstract
Optically active trans-2-(arylthio or alkylthio)cyclohexanols are prepared by the asymmetric ring-opening of cyclohexene oxide with various arylthiols or alkylthiols in 52–85% ee by the use of zinc Lq-tartrate as a heterogeneous chiral Lewis acid catalyst. Keywords
