Abstract
Two patients with cluster headache and prominent migrainous features are described and a shared migraine and cluster headache pathophysiology is discussed. Both patients failed routine cluster headache pharmacotherapy, one failed multiple operative interventions; however, both remitted on divalproex. It is suggested that migrainous features be assessed in cluster headache and divalproex initiated before pursuing invasive procedures. Keywords
