The “Assimitron”, A Newly Devised Instrument for Measuring CO2 Flux in the Surface Air Layer

Abstract
An instrument called the Assimitron is developed for measurement of the flux of carbon dioxide in the atmospheric surface layer over crop field. The transistorized instrument is mobile and simple to operate in the field and is thus suitable for use by relatively unskilled personnel. The feasibility and the accuracy of this instrument is under investigation by comparing CO2 flux values from the Assimitron with those from the aerodynamical or the heat balance method. Detailed results of the investigation are to be published separately.
