Abstract
Using a Burkeian critical method, this paper shows that throughout Oration. XII, Against Eratosthenes, Lysias utilizes strategies of substantive, dramatistic, and cooperative identification in order to create a dramatic situation in which redemption can occur and establish Eratosthenes as a ritual victim for the process of redemption. Keywords
