Abstract
A key is provided to the eight species ofAnatellarecorded in Britain, including three species newly recorded (A.dampfiLandrock;A.gibbaWinnertz;A.lenisDziedzicki). A further six species are newly recorded from Britain (Exechia sororculaLackschewitz;Exechiopsis dumitrescae(Burghele‐Balacesco);Allodia(Brachycampta)angulataLundström;Mycetophila autumnalisLundström;M.lubomirskiiDziedzicki;M.lunataMeigen); these and several other species are redescribed. The following nomenclatural changes are proposed.Exechia bicincta(Staeger) (=spinosaBukowski, syn.n.);Mycetophila confusaDziedzicki (=affluctataEdwards, syn.n.);Mycetophila dziedzickiinom.n. (=obscuraDziedzicki nec Walker).
