Amphotericin B and Electrodesiccation for Chromoblastomycosis

Abstract
A case of chromoblastomycosis caused by Hormodendrum compactum is presented. Amphotericin B, 5 mg. per cubic centimeter of 2% procaine solution was found to be effective when used to infiltrate the lesions. Electrodesiccation and curettage was helpful in eradicating the lesions. This combined treatment was safely carried out on an outpatient basis.
