Abstract
In medicinal folklore a plethora of plants are claimed to have antisnake venom activity. Rituals are also practiced along with herbal medicine treatment. This literature survey covers 430 such medicinal plants belonging to 319 genera and 92 families. The methods used in indigenous systems of medicine are also discussed.Keywords
