Abstract
The protein binding of p-aminohippurate in human and dog plasma was measured by the dialysis technic. A nomogram for determining the filterable fraction (FW) in human plasma at various levels of PAH and albumin is presented. With an avg. normal albumin of 4.5% and the plasma levels of PAH usually employed in Tm studies (20-60 mg.%), FW= 0.79 to 0.81. In the normal dog FW is independent of the concn. of PAH up to 60 mg.% and averages 0.92.Keywords
