Abstract
Three strains of Mycobacterium bovis (BCG) of varying virulence were grown under identical conditions and tested for efficacy in chemoimmunostimulation of a murine leukemia. Equal numbers of viable organisms of the Pasteur, Japan, and Brazil strains of BCG were equally effective, after chemotherapy, in producing a high percentage of long-term survivors (82%) compared to groups of animals treated with chemotherapy (40%) or BCG alone (3%).Keywords
