Abstract
The blood contains 6 allelic genes, Rh1 ,Rh2, Rh[image], Rh[image], Rho and rh, named after the agglutinogens which they determine. Additional variants also occur which may be detd. by special "intermediate" genes. The reactions of the 6 standard genes with the 3 kinds of anti-Rh sera and with anti-Hr sera are described. Some weak reactions occur with Rh antisera. These involve the intermediate genes, whose hereditary nature is established. The existing nomenclature is such that it may easily be adjusted to include any other unknown specific Rh antisera. The place of the anti-Hr sera in the Rh types is similar to that of the anti-O sera in the blood group scheme. This publication has 13 references indexed in Scilit:
