Abstract
I noted in Chapter 19 that the focus of human-computer interaction tends to be restricted to the relationship between the individual user and the computer and I discussed a broader perspective on the field that would take into account the social context in which people use computers. In this chapter I expand on how the computer can augment our current communication facilities.Keywords
