Abstract
Summary Emphasizing the increasing occurrence and importance of LED, the author mentions the frequency of joint symptoms in the symptomatology of LED and the consequent importance of making LED tests in all cases of arthropathies. The «Ring» method (Snapper and Nathan, July 1955) offers even the practitioner a simple and efficient routine test for all these cases. A report is made on the LE phenomenon in a rheumatological material consisting of unselected cases of rheumatoid arthritis, spondylarthritis, arthrosis, etc. Where a positive test was obtained, the cases seemed to fit well with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. Keywords
