Abstract
Cytological investigation of twenty‐five weedy species belonging to twenty‐three genera were investigated for the first time from Jos Plateau, Nigeria. The chromosome numbers of three taxa; Aspilia kotchyi, Coreopsis asperaia and Lactuca capensis are reported here for the first time, while chromosome numbers of five taxa; Acanthospermum australe, Ageratum conyzoides, Ethulia conyzoides, Galinsoga parviflora and Sclerocarpus africanus differ from their previous chromosome reports.Keywords
