Abstract
Data on vibratory sensitivity with description of the teletactqr amplifier used at the Illinois School for the Deaf, and discussion of magnetic and condenser types of receivers. Differences between the sensitivity of the ear and finger-tip are computed and tabulated. At frequency 64 the ear was approximately 100 times as sensitive as the finger-tip, but at 2000 the ear was over 1/2 million times as sensitive. The ear became more sensitive as the frequency increased, the touch less sensitive. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
