Abstract
An optical model analysis of the anomalous large angle elastic scattering between 20 and 50 MeV has been performed on the basis of a single fit at 29 MeV incident energy. The resulting potential gives a good description of the characteristic energy dependence of the angular distributions. A nonresonant interpretation of the phenomenon is proposed. A distorted wave Born approximation analysis of some inelastic transitions is presented.
