Abstract
The authors obtain high-field series expansions for the anisotropic Ising model on a simple cubic lattice. These series are used to investigate the tricritical point that occurs when the model is used to represent metamagnets. Some new tests of scaling theory for the crossover between two and three dimensions are also undertaken. Keywords
