Abstract
An analytical equation is derived for the stabilization of OH radicals at 77°K as a function of total irradiation dosage. The derivation is based on a purely phenomenological model that invokes the concept of a reactive volume in which the H+OH→H2O reaction has a probability greater than zero; outside this volume the probability is identically zero. The theoretical curve and the experimental results agree very well. Keywords
