State Approval of Foreign Medical Schools

Abstract
For many years the Board of Regents of New York State has set licensure requirements for graduates of foreign medical schools not accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education; these requirements differ from those set for graduates of accredited medical schools. They are intended to ensure that the basic qualifications of graduates of both accredited and nonaccredited schools are as equal as possible at the time of licensure. The basic licensure requirements for all graduates of foreign medical schools are a medical degree received after the completion of a program at least 32 months long at a school listed . . .Keywords
